The low-range close set the stage for a steady to higher opening on Monday. Stochastics and the RSI are neutral to bullish signaling that sideways to higher prices are possible near term. If May extends the rally off November's low, the 50% retracement level of the 2011-2013 decline crossing at 19.02 is the next downside target. Coffee futures settled ...Mike Seerys Friday call..

Coffee futures settled down 230 points this Friday afternoon while still trading above its 20 day moving average but below its 100 day settling last Friday at 122.70 a pound basically trading unchanged for the week with excellent chart structure on the daily charts. I have been advising traders to be bullish or long the coffee market with either bull call spreads or outright futures and if your trading outright futures my advice would be to place your stop at the 10 day low which is 118.65 which was hit on July 15th minimizing your risk in case the trend does continue to the downside. Coffee prices are still right near a 3 year lows and I think with a sideways consolidation that we’ve had in the last 6 weeks looking to bottom especially with the U.S dollar hitting a 5 week low today which could be supportive coffee prices. All of the bad news in coffee is basically baked into the prices such as a large harvest from Brazil & waning demand worldwide so I think the tide might be turning to the upside in my opinion. On IWM, deflate the daily volume by the last 1 minute tick to excise just the rawest "Tuesday-never-fails" frontrunning, and it tells a very different picture. And the QQQ's dragonfly doji is far from a universally bullish candle.
You're right about the trend. Why aren't you simply suggesting your followers get ready to buy the spike when the trend reasserts itself, say after a half point gain in SPY after local minima.
Suggesting that people get aggressive when the market looks to be breaking down (if only temporarily) isn't good advice. Based on the above factors, we think long term oil prices will be reflected downward toward $75.-$80./ barrel for the long term range.
However, we are bullish about the future of crude oil prices due to IRAN¨s geopolitical oil production and Hurmoz Canal distribution. IRAN remains the X FACTOR for the near future until its Nuclear development issue is resolved. Needless to say in case that the dispute between the U.S. and Iranian Islamic Republic regime escalate due to further development of IRAN nuclear ambition, it is our opinion that a new war would be imminent in the region between the West and IRAN. Even though, IRANIAN government insisting on building a peaceful nuclear reactor, the western community rightfully so, do not buy their argument and will do anything to delay and ultimately stop a nuclear IRAN.
It is also our opinion that at this stage U.S. will be patiently awaiting to see if alliance with China and Russian Federation can be achieved before initiating a new conflict in IRAN.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08592261941195952156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5559625162105672139.post-73090106584683081072013-02-21T16:22:48.121-08:002013-02-21T16:22:48.121-08:00Are we getting a bottom in coffee here.....today&#...Are we getting a bottom in coffee here.....today's action.

March coffee closed higher on Thursday as it consolidates some of the decline off January's high.
